Leaving comments on another blog

There will come a day when you'll read a classmate's blog and want to leave him or her a comment. Movable Type makes this easy. Below each entry on a blog, the word "Comments" appears. The number in parentheses indicates the number of comments that have so far been left on that entry. To leave your own comment, or to read what others have said, click on this link.

You'll be taken to the comments section for that entry. If others have already posted comments on this entry, you'll be able to read them here. If you'd like to take another look at the entry you're posting on, scroll up.

When you're ready to leave a comment, fill in the text fields as directed. (The "URL" box is for you to fill in the address of your website. You might want to put your blog's address here.) To post anonymously, leave those fields blank. If you check "Remember personal info?", you won't have to retype your information each time you comment; if you're working on a public computer, you should leave this box unchecked.

Type your comment in the large text box, and click the "Post" button when you're ready to submit.

After clicking "Post", you'll be taken to a page telling you that your comment is being held for moderation. Your comment won't be visible on the blog entry until the blog owner approves it. How long this will take depends on how often the blog owner checks her email--don't be worried if it takes a while for the comment to show up.
