Though I could talk about Carse's ideas of finite and infinite games I am hesitant to. Yet that hesitation is precisely the dilemma-- How to access "life as a vision of play and possibility" --the infinite or my assumption or critique--the finite-- a short lived(possibly) rule based game for time or limited ends.

By using the devices of electric recorders, journal entries, and yet to be sufficiently designed computer programs, David Lodge introduces the temperaments of his characters, presenting a catalog of instruments to show records of supposed truths or insights.

Though the man on the television set tells me so, I know it must be, to say I must begin here, a few general remarks to start with. I have been well prepared, knowing what time the sun begins, where California is, the just understood knowledge that there are people, that's what we are, on the television sets and the books they have told me all of this.

There is too much sweating now that I've cooked and eaten my Nova Scotian curry, but truly writing this to avoid doing something more complicated(though that assumption may end up biting me on the ass).

At times when I go to write these reports, I sometimes think I should have a quill in my hand and a voiceover in a posh BBC dialect stimulating some unearthed romance. It is always the opposite.

While I'm not unfamiliar with much of the brain research Carter explores, it was refreshing and enlightening to hear another viewpoint and review of the matter.

Andrew has a great ear. Beckett it was, looking primarily at Molloy, Malone Dies, and The Unnameable. well done!

What is on my mind? The overwhelming concern is how to deal with James and the giant qualia. The book didn't seem so nearly out of my grasp twenty or so years ago when I read it as a youngster living in Washington Square. Perhaps the Jamesian locale helped me front or I was so enthused to be living in the thick of it in those days, I convinced myself I enjoyed it and understood. Or maybe I'm just looking for more now that I've seen how easy it is to convince yourself of specters passing through amongst the living.

My last c-report spoke of my difficulty getting around James, and with good reason. But the application of Damsio and various aspects of our cognitive reading allowed me, to get the screwdriver of my mind out and in good working order

It was the better part of two decades ago now. Wacko was burning. The Towers got bombed the first time and we didn't see. It was different then, but then again, it always is.

Its been nearly sixteen years since Jesus was lost and the devil stopped, though the murder wasn't my biggest lose that year. There was Ron Lee who came, and left through chemistry, culture, and complacency. It would be an education.

As I write this, it is advisable, it seems by way of introduction, to say names have been changed but essential facts still remain, as best as I can and am willing to reconstruct them. These things do happen, I just can't always write about them.
