Come Rescue Me...

I had this dream the day after New Year's. I was in an African village. I remember seeing a sign that welcomed visitors as I passed. As I trodded through the center of town, I saw a man with the bluest eyes I have ever encountered. I smiled at him and walked onwards. The road I traveled along became dirty, and muddy. I noticed, soon, that no one was around me. Then from a window, a man with a knife jumped in front of me and put the knife to my face. He took the sword, ripped the sleeve of my shirt, and found what he was looking for. In the fold of my sleeve was a thin, squire slip of paper ( a business card) which had secret information. I had been a spy for another village! The man grapped the paper, and just as he was about hurt me, the blue eyed stranger held his hand, and stopped him. He told me to take his horse, and off I rode with on this brown horse. I don't remember looking back to see what was going on. I do, however, remember going through the old, safe part of town, and people looked strangely at me for riding this horse, which clearly belonged to someone else. The townsmen and women knew the man this horse belonged to, and as I passed, the folks looked at me with disdain.

A Second Chance for Celebration

Last night I dreamt I was attending a party on a boat. Not only was my boyfriend's parents and sister attending, but so were all of my relatives on my mother's side. I arrived early, happy because I was able to save seats for myself and the large group I wished to sit with. Yet, everytime I went to a large empty table, I realized someone had already put their belongings down to hold it. Agitated, I went outside on the land the boat was docked. The boat somehow became my friends Al and Amy's home, and I went and layed down with them on a futon matress. They were watching slides from their childhood. I stayed awhile til some of Al's male friends came over, and since for some reason they seemed to intimidate me, I ran back onto the boat. It filled up quite quickly now, and I felt compelled to go around to every aunt and uncle, cousin and friend, and give them a kiss. As I was doing so, my boyfriend's brother-in-law came to the party, and sarcastically lectured me for not holding us a table. I began to walk around the boat for an empty table, but there was not one table with all empty seats, so I ran into a bedroom to finish changing. When I came out, I realized the party seemed to be over. I had missed the party! Or so I thought....I went back into the room my friends had been watching movies in, and Al and I got comfy on the bed and cried at watching childhood moments. As we were doing so, party guest started coming into the room to say hello. I followed them into the main room only to find that the party was beginning again.I stayed at the party this time, but never found an empty table, so I never sat down!

Water, water everywhere...

I had this dream last week while I was on vacation at a ski resort. I was living on water front property. My home was on the shore of a beach, and I had a spectacular house with windows all around. It was in the evening and I was sitting watching television with two dogs and three cats I apparently owned. Out of nowhere, water begins spilling through the windows. I turn on a light outside to see the sea overflowed onto my property. Slowly the water was rising higher and higher on my windows. The dogs barked rapidly. I watched in terror until the water was as high as the windows. It was a serene feeling until each window shattered one by one and water came gushing into my living. I woke up when I saw one of my cats dead.

A Fish Story

I had a dream about water again the other night. I had a dream that I was a fish in the water. It was a beautiful serene feeling, and I almost knew I was dreaming for a moment. I couldnt not hear much in the water, everything seemed to be blurred and delayed. I remember seeing a light, and I followed it through schools of fish and beautiful colors. These colors were addicting and exciting, and I was swimming through a flash of red, blue and green. I remember soon later going into a darkness that was cold. I was shivering, and suddenly I felt like I was in a net. The net gets smaller and smaller until I feel like I am going to die. Then, I am set free in a moment, and I fall fast into deep colors again. I can sense I am getting warmer, but I am still very fearful.

I would love to know what people think of this dream.

Pepperoni Prison

I had a dream last night that I was going to buy pepperoni pizza. I got into my car but it was very hard to start. I finally got the car started after some time, and I noticed how foggy the windows had become. I turned on the exhaust, and the car shut down. I turned off the exhaust, and the car restarted. Annoyed, I kept the defroster off so I could drive the car, but the windows kept losing more visibility. When I turned the corner, I ended up hitting a car. The driver was enraged, and he jumped out of his seat, screaming and yelling. I ran out of the car and quickly down the street. I felt cold, and out of breath, but knew I could not stop running or I would be caught. In a moment I was caught, the police had chased me to the point where I could not run along further. I was surrounded, and the police walked over and handcuffed me. I woke up soon after I got in the police car, as I thought of what my mom would think.

Late for Work Woes

I had this dream Monday night, after my first day at student teaching. Before I share, it is important to know I reminded my friend to call me in the morning, because I had to be in school by 8 in the morning. I asked a friend to call me when she got up at 6:15 because I was afraid I would oversleep through the talarm. I had a dream that I woke up, stetched and saw my clock. My clock read 7:45. I jumped up, I realized I had to be at school at eight, and I was nervous! I knew I couldn't even shower, because it takes me fifteen minutes to get from my house to the school. I ran to my dresser and changed into anything seemingly professional and on I went to school. I drove there fast, knowing the AP of the English Department would be angry. I remember I got to the high school by 8:02 (finding it weird I could remember the times in my dream). The school was the Queens College Campus, much larger than the high school I am working in. I ran into the "main office" to see where I had to go, but they told me I was too late to enter the room where the student teacher conference was being held. I went crazy! I starting yelling at the woman and telling her to let me in or I would call the police, and stormed out of the building. I was walking on campus now, and someone told me to go join the musical band on roof of the building. I said no, looking up to the roof, but soon noticed one of the band members was a fellow student teacher. I then changed my mind and climbed up fifteen or sixteen flights of steps to get to the band. When I got the roof, however, the band of student teachers was finished performing. I awoke out of the pure frustration of the scene. I HOPE this is not a foretelling of future days. :/
