Dreaming of my ex

I dreamt that I was at another party (seems to be my recurring theme). I walked out to the balcony because I heard the voice of my ex. The setting was rustic, sort of a balcony out in the woods, but on ground level. There was no one there but a little short guy, really short, like 4' tall short. (In real life my ex is 6'3"). He was wearing a long coat and a hat. But when he spoke, he sounded like my ex. Then I realized he WAS my ex although he looked nothing like him. I walked down to the next level so that we could see eye to eye. As he was speaking, I realized I didn't really like him anyway. In my dream I remember feeling sad at this realization.

Lady Hira:

I don't know why, but I found this dream oddly funny. You certainly do think *little* of your ex now, don't you? (Sorry, I just had to say that...). Perhaps the guys who you are attracted to are tall, but then since this guy is your ex now, he is unattractive to you? So perhaps that is why he is represented as being short in your dream? Also, your relationship with him has been cut short. Maybe you felt sad at this realization in your because you might not be attracted to short guys? I'm not sure... really interesting dream though!

I like Lady Hira's idea that your ex's size in your dream is proportional to how well you think of him in real life. :)

But maybe making him smaller is a way to show that he has become a less prominent or threatening figure in your life? You mention that in your dream you felt sad when you realized that you didn't really like your ex. Maybe this realization is a form of "closure".
