The closing of the blogs

Hmm, what to say about this enterprise of blogging, sleeping, dreaming, and reporting? It's very interesting how Tina's presentation during the ceremony is a direct parallel to my thinking on this matter.

We all started out rather "confuzzled" and didn't know what we should be writing about in terms of details or what others might find useful or insightful when they read our dreams. It was a growing and maturing process. Over time, I must say, that I did not feel any conscious awareness of the improvement of our blogging abilities, it happened seamlessly and effortlessly.

This, I believe, is due to the level of work that everyone in the class put into their blogs, websites, and classwork. We were doing a lot of reading, research, and collaborating, which led us all to become better dream-researchers. All the wealth of knowledge that we learned, we applied, whether subconsciously or consciously to our blogs and our responses to others' blogs.

I commend everyone on their great effort. It was truly a unique learning process for me.

Maria - True Romance:

I think you are completely right. When Professor Tougaw told us at the beginning of our first semester that we would have to keep a dream blog journal, I was like "I never remember my dreams" (which I didn't for awhile at the beginning of this semester) and "what if someone reads my dream and thinks I'm crazy" (maybe this has already happened lol). It was very nerve-wrecking the first time, but you know, honestly, this is VERY therapeutic. Professor Tougaw, when I asked him what I could do to remember my dreams, told me to write them down immediately when I wake. I did, and I started remembering - after learning the you can't have any interruptions between the first minute you wake up and writing them down. And this has really helped me.

You're also right about us knowing things either consciously or subconsciously because people tell me their dreams now, and I feel like I can be of help. I tell them what I think it means, and I mean instantly, right when they tell it to me, I'm like, "Oh, you know I know someone who had a similar dream" (one of you guys).
