Blog 30: The Closing of the Blogs

As many have expressed similar sentiments, the blogs, especially the dream writing has been quite therapeutic for me as well as for others in the class. The commentary of others was also helpful, but just writing down my thoughts--- my dreams was the best part. This allowed me to express myself not just consciously, but unconsciously. This was no regular journal, but a journal that sometimes expressed my inner frustrations and wishes...one that allowed me to voice the unvoiced of my dreams. I think it is wonderful how with our comments, we are unsure of what to say at first and are, for some, new to this process, but as we went along in the semester and eventually the year, we learned a lot and were able to comment with new insights and with a lot more theory under our belts. It was really nice reading some of the entries of other people in the class. Many were very interesting, but I just wish that I had time to read all of them. Perhaps I'll have more time to do so after the semester ends. It's also really great that we will still have access to the blogs... but I wonder for how long? I really enjoyed reading, analyzing, and commenting on other people's blogs. And I'm sure that many share the same sentiments as I do.

I wish you all much luck bloggers, and I hope you guys continue to post up some dreams. I will surely try to do so myself. We have now officially graduated from the Movable Type Enterprise blogs. We are MTE class of 2007 (and for some of us QC class of 2007 as well! =)

AK:

I've always liked blogging because you get to put down whatever you're thinking, and well, when the subject is an expression of your subconscious, it's even better at times. Though I do end with the feeling of "what is with my head" after writing some of my dreams down. But I totally agree it's been a therapeutic experience.

I'm going to be trying to keep up with the blogs after the semester's over too. I wonder how long we can all keep it up...

Mind's Torque Wrench:

I agree with AK, blogging is definitely a useful medium for expression. I think it's the new age of writing and publishing. For many people, this is their diary in a way.

However, on a side note, I also think it is important to note that blogs are being used for many different purposes, some to talk about war, and others to spread all sorts of political messages or propaganda. In that sense, what sensors do we have in place to weed out the false info from the factual or semi-factual info?

Just something to think about, that's always been the debate about the new techno-savvy bloggies an new age internet technology.
