Blog 21: Writers Unblock

On monday, I had a dream that I was writing on a piece of paper something constantly but I didn't know what it said. I don't know what I was writing, but I just kept on writing non-stop. After writing for a bit, I would stop and highlight some words with my highlighter, then I would continue writing and writing and wouldn't stop even though my hand felt sore. I must have written 20 pages by hand without stopping before I notice that my hand was starting to bleed. I had this dream after I had finished a paper which had took my some time to write since I was having "writers block". Yet, even with out "writers block", I would have never been able to write a 20 page paper on one sitting. I'm not even sure if I can write a five page paper on one sitting. I wonder what this dream was trying to tell me. Anybody have any clues?

Mind's Torque Wrench:

That's very interesting. I've had a few dreams lately where a body part of mine was bleeding or something/someone was bleeding. Something such as blood is definitely important in our waking life, so would our subconscious just randomly bastardize the importance we hold on it? I don't think so, I think blood carries a heavy metaphor in our dreams, we have just yet to find out exactly what it is. Whether it is pain, struggle, aggression, anger, death, or maybe even life.
